L@S GANAS Research Fellowship

The L@s GANAS Research Fellowship is a 2-year program that engages students in research-intensive experiences in Life Sciences, Chemistry, and beyond. As a student participant, a L@s GANAS fellow, you will gain sustained and meaningful exposure to research environments, you will learn about research as a career and be provided with a visible path towards it. You will also be embraced by the UIC research community and introduced to national research communities in your field.

Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) at UIC

The Summer Research Opportunities Program at UIC allows for undergraduate students to immerse themselves in a research for the summer! The program is aimed to help students navigate the process of applying to graduate school as well as to gain hands-on experience with research faculty at UIC. As the program concludes, the student has the opportunity of presenting their summer research findings at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ISRS Conference as well as at UIC’s Summer Research Symposium.

Chancellor’s Undergraduate Research Award

The Chancellor Undergraduate Research Award allows for students to obtain an hourly paid research position. The student must request his/her faculty to submit an application on his/her behalf in order to be considered for the award. The student, however, must have received and accepted Federal Work Study funds as part of their financial award letter.
