Association for Iron & Steel Technology Scholarships

Are you interested in pursuing a career in the steel industry? The Association of Iron and Steel is offering scholarships to students pursuing material science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, environmental engineering and computer science. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing graduate school are welcomed to apply. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required along with letters of recommendation and a strong interest in iron and steel industry. There will be 30 recipients of the scholarship and they will receive a paid summer internship followed by a $6000 one year scholarship. The deadline is October 31st!


Latin American Recruitment & education services program (lares)

LARES is currently offering 3 scholarships with a deadline of November 26th. The first scholarship is a tuition award for the spring semester. The scholarship is based on leadership and merit. Full time undergraduate students are encouraged the apply. The second scholarship is the César E. Chávez/Frida Kahlo Award; it is a non-renewable award of $1000 for the Spring 2019 semester awarded to a junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 2.75. The final scholarship is Latino Alumni Award and it is a $1000 non-renewable award for the spring semester. Juniors and seniors with a GPA of 2.8 are welcomed to apply.
