Great Minds in STEM™ is a non-profit organization that was established in 1989 that focuses on STEM educational awareness programs for students from kindergarten to career. Great Minds in STEM™ provides resources for recognition and recruitment of Hispanics in STEM on a national level, connecting multi-areas of engineering and science arenas to the general population. Great Minds in STEM™ is offering multiple scholarships that range from $500 to $10,000. A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required to apply. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in STEM and be of Hispanic descent and/or demonstrate significant leadership or service within the underserved community. The deadline to apply is April 1st!
LARES is currently offering a one time $2000 scholarship with a deadline of December 10th, 2018. The scholarship is open to first time transfer students. The goal of this scholarship is to assist transfer students in their pursuit of a bachelor's degree. The selection of this award is based on merit and leadership and may be applied towards tuition, fees, and related school expenses.

The Hispanic Association of colleges and universities offers various opportunities via its sponsors. The sponsors include InGenesis, Cafe Bustelo, Kia, Oracle, Miller Lite and more! The amounts for each scholarship varies between $1000 to $5000. The Miller Lite and Coors Light scholarships include an invitation to the HACE/Adelante Leadership Institute Conference as well. The ASF was founded by the 7 original astronauts to ensure that the United States would maintain its leadership in science and technology. The organization aims to support the very best science, technology, engineering and math college student. In order to apply, you must be nominated by a faculty member. Up to $10,000 is award to the recipient of the scholarship and the recipient is invited to ASF’s Innovators Weekend in the fall. The application process is rather rigorous with scholars having a GPA of at least 3.7 and most having a GPA of 3.9 or above. Check out the website for more information! Are you interested in pursuing a career in the steel industry? The Association of Iron and Steel is offering scholarships to students pursuing material science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, environmental engineering and computer science. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors pursuing graduate school are welcomed to apply. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required along with letters of recommendation and a strong interest in iron and steel industry. There will be 30 recipients of the scholarship and they will receive a paid summer internship followed by a $6000 one year scholarship. The deadline for the 2020-2021 year is October 31st, 2019!
The Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation (“CLCF”) was established to support the advancement of Latino Youth through scholarships, internships, and mentorship opportunities in the City of Chicago. Each year, the CLCF selects deserving young people of good character and high academic achievement to receive a scholarship to help them achieve their educational objectives. The CLCF will be accepting scholarship applications beginning March 1, 2019. Recipients will be announced in Spring 2019, with a subsequent Scholarship Breakfast Celebration in Summer 2019.
